I’ve spent a big part of my life around water, travel, people, and the occasional controlled chaos that seems to follow this industry around. Professionally, I work in the dive world, helping Dive Centers and professionals grow their businesses, build stronger training programs, and hopefully make a little more sense of an industry that doesn’t always make that easy.
Before all of that, I studied vocal performance in college, which probably explains why I’ve never had much trouble talking to people. I’m also a huge history geek, have a real love for travel and adventure, and I’ve always been drawn to places, cultures, and experiences that feel a little more interesting than the ordinary. The Mexican Caribbean still ranks high on my list, but I’ve got a soft spot for Central America and Latin culture in general.
I’ve been married to my wife, Kim, for more than three decades, and together we’ve raised three kids, Derek, Corey, and Kailee. These days, two grandkids keep us busy on a lot of weekends, which is a pretty good tradeoff for getting older.
At the end of the day, I’m passionate about helping people, building relationships, and staying involved in an industry and lifestyle that have given me a lot over the years. If you’re here because of diving, travel, professional development, or you’re just curious what I’m up to next, welcome aboard.
